Roses, the Queen of the Flowers!


There are many different species of Rose, where in aromatherapy we use mostly the Rosa damascene, Rosa gallica and Rosa centifolia species.


Considered the Queen of the Flowers and used since ancient times by Persian, Egyptian, Indian, Greek and Romans, Roses are one of the jewels of aromatherapy. It’s an expensive essential oil because you need 2 tons of petals for a litter.


Roses are the symbol of the sacred feminine, and therefore also used as symbol of important priestesses, goddesses and Romani people. It represents unconditional love and work on all types of cures, physically and emotionally.


Did you know that the planet Venus draw a rose in the skies after 8 full cycles around the sun? Check on the internet for the imagine, it is truly amazing! Venus is the planet as well as the Roman Goddess of fertility, beauty and love. Rose essential oil is considered to bring back the love to our hearts and make us believe that we can love again through trusting.

Roses teaches us to be incarnate. The journey that makes us human is as well beautiful as full of thorns. As human being in our totality, we will have to deal with duality, light and shadow, feminine and masculine. So, roses will help us with self-acceptance.


The essential oil is commonly used for skin regeneration, bringing back vitally and lightening the skin. Emotionally we can relate this medicine with the fact roses essential oil brings out our inner beauty.
